Are MDI’s PGP Placements as Good as that of the top IIMs?

On the other hand, the 2018-2020 batch of IIM Bangalore too witnessed good placements. The average salary offered was similar to the Management Development Institute, Gurgaon. The average package at IIM B was 24.54 Lakhs INR PA, and the median package was 23 Lakhs INR PA. Similarly, IIM Ahmedabad recorded 25.83 Lakhs INR PA as average salary, while the median salary was 30 Lakhs INR PA. So, you can see that the average package and the median salary of MDI are as good as some of the top IIMs. Also, it’s courses come at a lesser cost compared to the top IIMs.

MDI Eligibility Requirements

• The aspirants must have 50 per cent marks or equivalent CGPA in 10+2 and in 3-year Graduation degree as well.

PGP-IM

• For this course, a Master’s or Bachelor’s (4 years minimum) degree is required along with a minimum of 50 per cent marks or equivalent CGPA.
• Aspirants also must have at least 1 year of work experience after the 4-years Bachelor’s degree.

MDI PGP Selection Process

Candidates seeking admission for the prestigious courses must have to appear for CAT (Common Admission Test). Based on the CAT scores, if one is shortlisted, then they will receive a call for GD round followed by an Interview and Written Test. The average CAT cutoff score here is 97 percentile. The Shortlisted candidates will have to log in to the official MDI website to select their course. The declaration of the selection and merit list for admission to various courses will be based on weightage given on CAT Scores, Academics, GD-PI performance and Written Test. CAT score carries a maximum weightage of 55 per cent, followed by WAT, GD-PI of 30 per cent and Academics & Work Experience of 15 per cent.
