Ramadan Mubarak: In the Islamic calendar the ninth month Ramzan is a period of fasting to celebrate “the best time” by Muslims all over the world.
According to Islamic belief, it first discloses the Koran to Muhammad. Fasting is compulsory only for healthy adult Muslims, who are suffering from any disease, is traveling, are elderly, pregnant, breastfeeding, have diabetes, are severely ill, or menstruation is free from this practice.
In 2026 it starts on the evening of Feb 17, 2026, and ends on the evening of March 19th or March 20th.
Muslims often increase and practice self-discipline during the month of Ramadan. The fasting period, during which Muslims are not allowed to eat or drink, from morning to sunset and Muslim prayer increases inactivity.
Meaning of Ramadan Kareem:
Some linguists said that this is derived from the Arabic word Ramada its root is AR-Ramada and its popular meaning is the heat intensity in the summer because fasting usually occurs in the heat. Another reason this month is called Ramadan is because people experience hunger and thirst during the fasting of the month.
So, Ramadan Kareem means Ramadan is liberal (month). This is an expression used in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Qatar, Dubai and even in the countries of Muslim residents in India, during Ramzan, the name of the month is great, to pray and mention.
